Quartzite

As sandstone heats and responds to pressure, it eventually turns into quartzite, which is a very hard and dense material and characterised by unique texture.

Rural Stone was commissioned to provide a 30mm random-bond cladding stone for the Binningup Desalination plant that reflected the colour palate of this great sunburnt country. We developed the Binningup Quartzite blend with its warm earth tones and then expanded our range to incorporate the Quindalup blend which suits those seeking a northern european colour aesthetic - a blend of forest greens and darker greys. In addition to 30mm random bond cladding we also process the quartzite in 100mm block formats.
